In order to obtain increasingly higher quality castings and satisfying increasingly projects’ complexity, mold design became more and more demanding. For this reason, since 2020 we have equipped ourselves with ProCast, a casting simulation software with which we can check the liquid metal parameters and their evolution during injection and further its solidification. Setting up injection parameters based on our strong experience, we can analyze mold and cast temperatures, metal speed at any point and many other parameters. Subsequently we can analyze possible defects such as oxides, porosity, cold junctions, filling problems and many others. This complete analysis allows us to raise our quality standards, either by producing molds with a lower risk of defects and by resolving any other problem with existing molds.
